I am now retired from AT&T, but while an employee it was a pleasure to have worked with Carmela. At that time I did not have my drivers license.. I would wait on the corner of Wade street and Plainfield Avenue and ride with her over at Hadley road…she was a joy…

I've never met Mr's Recine, but I will miss aeeing her sitting on the front porch of her house as i would drive by and sometimes wave. I'm neighbors with one of Carmela's sons. She made 2 great ones that I know. Thank you for that Carmela.

Our Grandma was one of a kind! Although we lived in Florida, we always kept in touch and talked often. I will never forget Grandma was so scared to fly on a plane, but mustered enough courage to be a part of my wedding in Florida. She was the cutest. Her dress for my wedding was the same color as my bridesmaids dresses and I loved that. She was one of the "girls." Her laugh was the best and I always loved hearing her sing opera. Some of my fondest memories in life are the summers my brother, sister, and I spent in New Jersey (and down the shore) with Grandma and Pop Pop. She loved cooking and was fantastic at it! Taught everyone in the family all her tricks! I just had twin boys in January and I see my Grandma in some of the faces they make and I will cherish that forever. We will miss her dearly. We love you so much, Grammy!

I’ve known Mrs. Recine since I was 16 years old. I will never forget eating Sunday dinners at her Mom’s house next door, nor will I forget the time she and Ron’s GMA didn’t tell me what was in the Sunday sauce. They asked me how I liked the dinner but had a smirk on their faces, so I asked them what I had just eaten. I nearly passed out when they told me it was rabitt! I was introduced to many “exotic” foods at the Recine’s house for sure! We never got up from the table on Sundays!
Mrs. Recine was a wonderful grandmother to my children. My mom passed at a very young age so GMA Recine took over the main role. She taught my kids, Michael, Tara, and Lindsay many things. She had nightly calls to Michael and weekly calls to the girls, where they talked recipes, what they had for dinner, how were their jobs and to always save their money! This past year, Tara gave birth to identical twins, Wyatt and Brody. I would send videos to Ron and he had the neighbor, Lauren, show them on her phone to GMA. She unfortunately passed shortly after Lindsay had her new baby girl, Harlow, so she never got to see her.
We kept in touch over the years and had great conversations when I stayed with her in 2018. This is such a big loss for my children since she was their last living grandparent, and a big loss for Ron as well. But Michael and his GMA’s bond was like no other. Rest in peace, Mrs. Recine; you are in a better place and in the company of so many people who have been waiting to greet you up in Heaven.

We are Ronnie’s children, Michael, Tara, and Lindsay. Although we were miles apart living in Florida, we were in constant contact with Grandma. We talked to her weekly, but she was in touch with Michael nightly, promptly at 7 p.m. She always asked us about what we were making for dinner, how our families were, and how our jobs were going. We learned a lot from Grandma and will miss her dearly. Forever in our hearts, forever loved.
