My children and grandchildren loved their Uncle Mike. He was their friend and made them each feel special. He is greatly missed by us all. My son, Joseph, and my three grandsons, Garrison, Omeis and Azontomei, got to spend time with Uncle Mike last year, when we visited from California. That was so wonderful. I will miss our card games....he's the only one I could ever get to play casino with me. I'm grateful he is no longer suffering, and I know he is at peace and happy and spreading joy. His love of family, the entire family, was unique. Periodically he would call to see how my family and I were doing, and to let me know he was thinking about us. He always reminded me of our Uncle Leo. They were not perfect men, by any means, but they were both family men who cared about all of us....and you would never guess they married into our family, not born into it. He was truly my brother. I miss him so much....and I know that I will see him again. Of that, I have no doubt and I am so grateful. Until we meet again, Mike. I love you.
