Dearest Nancy, I never had the pleasure of meeting your mom, although I wanted to, to offer you and your family support. But the stories you told me about how much she loved your two boys and they grew up "knowing" her because of the time she shared with them when she babysat for them are indelible. The way your sons treated her these past few years, "wanting" to visit her and going to visit her to spend time with her on any regular day or a holiday shows the true impact your mother had on the family. I was just told of the "personal" side of her but I never knew "her" story so thank you for sharing what a remarkable and brave woman she was. My favorite story is when you told me how she wasn't really eating but when you brought her the "suckers" she perked up and enjoyed having the sweet candy in her mouth. Now I know where you get your warmth, your energy, your amazing cooking and "home-making" skills, and your ethics of work and family. I'm so so sorry for your loss, your family's loss on such a truly caring "true" woman, wife, sister, mother, caretaker and grandmother.
