In Loving Memory of Domenica Passalacqua 

April 28, 1934 – December 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Domenica Passalacqua who left this world peacefully on Christmas Day at the age of 90.

Born in Sicily, Italy, in 1934, Domenica was a beacon of love, strength, and devotion. At the age of 41, she moved  to the United States with her family to build a life filled with opportunity and love.

Her passion for cooking and baking was unmatched, as she shared the flavors of her Sicilian heritage with everyone who graced her table. From hand-rolled fresh pasta to her famous cuccidati cookies.  Her kitchen was a place where memories were made, and love was tasted. Her greatest joy, however, came from the time she spent surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored her deeply.

A devout Catholic, Domenica lived her life guided by faith, grace, and humility. She cherished the simple joys of life, finding beauty in family, faith, and tradition.

Domenica  is preceded in death by her husband Salvatore. She is survived by her children Vincenzo and wife Patricia, Angela and husband Salvatore, Pietro and wife Lisa, and Rita and husband Richard. Along with her grandchildren Pietro, Valeria, Vinny, Liliana, Marco, Jake, Sofia, Emanuela and Ava and great-grandchildren Michael, Massimo, Gianvito, Graziano and Giordano. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave and the traditions she passed down to all who knew her. 

Services to honor and celebrate Domenica’s life will be held at Bongiovi Funeral Home on Sunday December 29, 2024 from 2:00pm-6:00pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Ann’s Church on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:00am, followed by a burial at St. Bernard’s Cemetery 

Though she has departed from this world, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
