Obituary of Joseph John Puthuppara

Basking Ridge NJ

Joseph John Puthuppara, age 84, of Basking Ridge NJ, passed away on Saturday November 23, 2024 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown NJ. He was born in Ernakulam, Kerala, India on August 4, 1940 to his late parents Rosa and John Puthuppara. 

Joseph was a businessman who owned his own retail store selling electrical merchandise in Kerala, India.  He was a loving, kind, and caring family man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren.  He will be missed by all who knew him and touched his heart.

Joseph is survived by the love of his life his wife Mary Joseph, his four loving children Joshy Joseph and daughter in law Gigi, Wilson Joseph and daughter in law Sophy Joseph, Lissy Joseph and son in law Sojan Vithayathil, and July Joseph and son in law Benoy Joseph.  He is also survived by the joys of his life, his 10 grandchildren, Heera, Rachel, Haritha, Leah, Helen, Erica, Rita, Tania, Daniel, and Jayden.

A Viewing will take place on Monday November 25, 2024 between 6:00pm and 7:30pm at St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church (508 Elizabeth Avenue, Somerset, NJ) followed by a 7:30pm to 8:30pm Mass. 

Funeral Service and Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday November 26, 2024 between 9:00am and 11:00am at St Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery (145 Mt Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ).  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bongiovi Funeral Home Raritan NJ 908-725-1887.
