Obituary of Rolando A Rubia

Please share a memory of Rolando to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rolando A. Rubia, 70, died on September 24, 2024.

He was born on April 14, 1954 to his parents Lolita (nee Atienza) and Teofilo Rubia in the Philippines.  Rolando immigrated to the United States over 30 years ago and made a living by helping others in his community by providing important mechanical and construction services.

He especially enjoyed travelling with his family and friends, often driving them around with an uncanny ability to navigate, what his family nicknamed his famous “RPS” (Rolando Positioning System).  Rolando was especially fond of adventures including eating out, fishing, watching concerts, Pinoy TV shows and going to the casinos.

Rolando is survived by his daughters Marianne Dela Cruz (Michael), Lerma Rubia, Mary Jane Rubia, Liezel Villareal (Jerome); grandchildren Francis, Kahlel, Daneliyah, Mio; life-long partner Alicia, his siblings, nieces and nephews and cherished friends.

Rolando will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
