Obituary of Alfred J Gaburo

Flemington, NJ – Alfred J. Gaburo, 72, entered into eternal life on March 26, 2016 after a long illness that he bravely fought. He was born in Somerville NJ on September 8, 1943 to his dear parents, Laura Battistoni and Alfred T. Gaburo. Al graduated from Somerville High School where he played football and baseball. He raised his family in Raritan Borough and Flemington NJ.
A certified master welder by trade, Al was employed by the National Starch and Chemical Company in Bridgewater, NJ. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, and was an amazing welder and fabricator. Al was a kind, caring, generous person, who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Al is survived by his beloved wife, Denise King Gaburo of 31 years, three loving children, Alfred J. Gaburo and wife Margaret, Scott Gaburo and wife Michelle, and Hope Lindsey Gaburo, a dear brother, Thomas Gaburo and wife Jodi, and three wonderful grandchildren, Ian, Adele, and Jesse. He was predeceased by his parents. Al was the godson of World War II Medal of Honor winner John Basilone.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (908-725-1887).
A private family burial will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
