Obituary of Lorraine V. Sarra

Lorraine V. Sarra entered the Kingdom of the Lord on August 19, 2024.  She was 87 years old.  Lorraine was born to her parents Lucille (nee Angelillo) and William Lentini on August 6, 1937, in Brooklyn NY where she was raised. Together with her husband William they raised their four beautiful children in Bridgewater.  She was a full-time mom, doting wife, PTA member and avid bowler. Lorraine began working in numerous downtown Somerville stores, until she opened Beneath It All on Main Street, in Somerville.  She was more than proud that for nearly two decades her store was not only a shopping experience, but also a welcome area for friends to stop in for a cup of tea and chat for a bit. Alongside her husband, Lorraine was an integral member of the SBPA, funding and organizer of street fairs, strolling carolers and the immensely popular photos with Santa!  She was a voracious reader, and her personal library contained over 500 books.  Her greatest passion of all may have been her dogs, owning numerous breeds through the years. Lorraine had a knack for making each and everyone feel special. She was a loving wife, caring mother, sister, and aunt.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband William, daughter Elizabeth Ann. Lorraine is survived by her sons William P. Sarra (Grace), Christopher Sarra, daughter Michele Sarra Scott (Mookie), grandsons Christian and Michelangelo Collazo-Sarra, Mossimo Sarra, Ian and James Scott, granddaughter Samantha Sarra, brother William Lentini (Carol), sister-in-law Lorraine Burns Sarra, nieces Suzanne, Karen and their families.  May you rest well in peace, Mom!
