Daniel J. Santelli,72 died on June 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on February 17, 1952, in Somerville, NJ to his parents Albert, Sr. and Lilian (nee PopadiuK) Santelli, who he was predeceased by.   He is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis (nee Alder), stepdaughter Teresa Ramirez, grandson Matthew Ramirez (fiancée Michelle Toth, brother Albert Santelli, Jr. (Vickey), niece Kristen Conover (Mike), great-nephew AJ Santelli, great-nieces Liliana and Jess Santelli. 

Dan was a hard-working family man owning and operating his own successful  gas station in Bradley Gardens.  He learned many of life’s lessons “through the school of hard knocks”.   Dan loved the holidays and enjoyed all the traditions with his family.  He enjoyed taking his workers out to dinner at Christmastime.  Among the hobbies Dan loved were drag racing, slot car racing, riding motorcycles, being a mechanic, fishing and he was a train enthusiast.  He started a biker’s club “Bradley Boys”.  Dan was an Eagle Scout leader; he enjoyed going to  the NY Giants games.

Dan was a man of his word, honorable and always trying to help those in need, including veterans, those with disabilities, doctors and nurses.  Daniel will be missed by all those who loved and knew him.

Vieweing will take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 4 PM - 8 PM, Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ.
