Lisa Johnson, age 55, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on August 31, 1968, in New Brunswick, NJ to her dear parents Norma (DeLorenzo) and Charles Herrera, only first meeting her father at age 8 months after his return from his service in Vietnam.

Lisa attended Kean College and Rutgers University and was devoted to her career as Vice President of Human Resources of MW Components.  She is a parishioner of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church of Raritan, NJ.  Lisa embraced the joy of travel alongside her cherished family and friends, with trips to local beaches and embarking on memorable journeys to Disney World since its opening in 1971, Caribbean cruises, and her recent trip to Greece. She found delight in music, attending numerous concerts, and was known for her sharp wit and keen sense of humor. Lisa's impeccable sense of style shone through her love for jewelry, shoes, and handbags. She found joy in nurturing her garden with vibrant flowers and decorating her home throughout the seasons. Lisa also cherished weekends of “glamping” with her beloved friends, creating memories together.

Lisa was a loving and devoted mother to her late son Ricky Johnson. A loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her. Lisa loved her job, and will be missed by the many co-workers whom she considered not only colleagues but friends. She will also be missed by her cat, Brandi. 

Lisa is survived by her loving parents, Norma and Charles Herrera, her brother Chad (Jessica) Herrera, Uncle Michael (Barbara) Herrera, Uncle Harold Herrera, Uncle Johnny Herrera, Uncle Jeffrey (Dee) DeLorenzo and Aunt Nancy Guhse.

Lisa is predeceased by her son, Ricky Johnson (2013).

A viewing will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2024 between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue Raritan, NJ, 908-725-1887. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 45 Anderson Street Raritan, NJ on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 am followed by burial at Somerset Hills Memorial Park 95 Mt. Airy Road Basking Ridge, NJ.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Lisa’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
