I have so many memories with Doug. He taught me a lot of songs on guitar and I would like to think I taught him a few things as well. I remember watch his band with his twin brother Dave and Brian Sheil play. I think they called themselves LSD. In the old days he would put his amp in the window as loud as it would go and play Van Halen songs or go to “his bench” on the corner of Prospect and Springfield Ave. with his Pignose battery operated amp, yell at cars and play. My mother used to even give Doug rides. So many fun times at Chuck Williams house with Doug partying and laughing. I was in a band with him, Chuck Williams and Eric Dashner at one point. Everyone that knew him liked him but couldn’t always deal with the trouble he caused from his deeply imbedded insecurities. I do hope he is at peace.

I have fond memories of Doug as a young child, especially on Christmas Day. He was always playing his guitar and being crazy Doug! He always made me laugh. Although my cousin struggled with life, he always had a big heart. Rest in peace my. Cousin. You don’t have to struggle anymore. I know your dad has his arms wide open for you.
