Obituary of Adele Dolores Papera

Adele Dolores Papera, 91, died peacefully on Thursday November 9, 2023, at All American Assisted Living in Hillsborough NJ.  She was born on July 5, 1932, in Somerville NJ to her dear parents the late Loretta (Soriano) and Pasquale Papera.

Adele was a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother and dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She will be missed by all who know her. She was known as a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends for the holidays.  Adele was known for her keen sense of humor, and she loved gardening, playing cards and the beach.  She especially enjoyed the times spent at Spring Lake.  She loved her dogs Parfait, Alaska “Sonny Girl” and Cosmo. 

Adele is survived by her loving daughters, Carole (Robert) Powers, Deborah Rowland, Frances (Joseph) Harcarik, Gyurian, and Diletta (Robert) Satriano, the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Leslie (Joseph) Morales, Justin (Sarah) Rowland, Christopher (Ashley)Rowland, Kimberly (Robert) Kozic, Andrew Harcarik, Michael Harcarik and Robert (Kaitlyn) Satriano, and three great-grandchildren Sophia Grace, Aubrie Bella and Archer Christopher.  She is also survived by her sisters, Lillian Giordano and Patricia Fassanella, Sister-in-laws, Shirley Gabrish and JoAnn Papera, her dearest friend to the end, Nancy Dirla, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. 

Adele was predeceased by her husband Frank “Sonny” Papera, daughter Melanie Heim and son in law Robert Heim and brother Frank Papera.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made in honor of Adele to the "St. Jude's Children's Hospital" or "St. Hubert's Animal Shelter".

A visitation will take place on Thursday November 16, 2023 between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue Raritan NJ 908-725-1887.   A visitation will take place on Friday November 17, 2023 between the hours of 10:00am and 12:00pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at St Bernard Cemetery Rt 28 Bridgewater NJ.
