Maria D. Confalone

Bridgewater – Maria D. Confalone died on October 5, 2023 at the Avalon in Bridgewater.  Maria was born in Roseto, Foggia, Italy on January 23, 1933 to the late Lucia (Bozzelli) and Antonio DeSantis. 

Maria resided in her hometown of Roseto, Italy until immigrating to the United States in the mid 1950’s crossing the Atlantic on the Italian liner Andrea Doria.  She enjoyed gardening, knitting and cooking for her family.  Maria was a communicant of the Catholic Church of St Ann in Raritan.  She worked as a line operator for J & J Pharmaceutical.

Maria is survived by her two sons Philip (Nancy), Danny, her daughter Annamarie DiPalma (Don), sisters Michelina  (Antonio) DeLorenzo and Grace Falcone, grandchildren Stefanie, Kelly, Nicole, Danny, Michael, Anthony, Alicia, great-grandchildren Emma, Lucas Savannah, and Abigail.

Maria was  predeceased by her husband Donato Confalone, her son Anthony Confalone, her brothers Domenico and Carl DeSantis, and brother-in-law Filippo Falcone.

A visitation will take place on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  A funeral mass will be at 12 Noon at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ followed by Entombment at St. Bernard Cemetery, 551 Route 28, Bridgewater.
