Stanley S. Kozal Obituary

Washington, NJ - Stanley "Stan" S. Kozal, 64, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was born to the late Grace and Stanley Kozal in Plainfield, NJ on January 19, 1959.


Stanley was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ Class of 1978. He was employed by American Water for 32 years, retiring in 2021. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors at the family farm in Pennsylvania with his family, friends, his beagles, shelties and his newest addition to the family, his German shepherd "Lemonade". He was born to be a sportsman, enjoying hunting, snowmobiling, motocross, snocross and firearm shooting to name a few. Stan's favorite time of year was the Fourth of July displaying fireworks for all to enjoy. He held very dear to his heart his family, friends and above all, his sons.


Stanley is survived by his beloved wife Lisa A. Dugan-Kozal, his cherished sons Stephen T. Kozal of Brewster, NY and Thomas John Kozal of NYC, NY, his loving sisters Karen Kozal (Dale Dalrymple) of Stockton, NJ, Janice Mauro (Sal) of Frenchtown NJ and Jennifer Pasculli (Anthony) of Pittstown, NJ and his adored nephews Sal, Nicholas, Anthony, Luke, nieces Mikayla and Samantha, his mother in law Sylvia Dugan and brother in law Jeff Dugan (Jacque) of Washington, NJ.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, 674 Mountain View Road East, Asbury, NJ 08822 or to a local food bank of your choice.


Visitation will be on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4 - 8PM at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11 AM, St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery, 199 Quakertown Road, Pittstown.
