Our beloved Nigel Morris was called to the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2:17AM in the New Bridge Medical Center Paramus, NJ.

He was born March 18, 1955, in Ashton, Westmoreland, Jamaica, West Indies. Nigel was the first child to parents Enid and George Morris. 

Nigel spent most of his life in the district he was born in and attended the Ashton All-Age School. Upon his migration in 2009, he became employed at Shoprite in New Milford, NJ.   Nigel thoroughly enjoyed music, cricket, farming, gardening, cycling, fishing, and bird hunting.  He always had a radio in every room and filled the house with songs and liveliness.  He enjoyed musician artist Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, and Peter Tosh.  Above all, he loved his family and friends and brought kindness to everyone. Nigel was respectful, kind, caring, loving, devoted father, loving son, dear brother, dearest grandfather and loyal friend.

Nigel is survived by his loving mother, Enid Morris; three children, Shaniece, Taniece, and Ajeno; six brothers, Ainsworth, Frederick (Sonia), Lindel, Patrick (Artresia), Oral (Ann), and Christopher (Stacy); three sisters, Paulette, Joan, and Marcea (Maurice); five grandchildren, Teca-Leigh, Jaden, Shanna-Leigh Kevin Jr, and Gionce; two great-grandchildren; 12 nieces, 16 nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews aunts, uncles, cousins, and host of friends.

He is predeceased by his father George Morris.

He leaves us with precious and cherish memories.

Funeral directions are under Bongiovi Funeral Home.  A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1:00-4:00PM and Monday, June 5, 2023 10:00-12:00PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ.   Burial will be held June 5, 2023 1:00PM at Somerset Hills Memorial Cemetery, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
