Anna Lico Carra Obituary

Raritan, NJ

Anna Lico Carra 94, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother peacefully entered eternal life on March 22, 2023.

She was born on September 16, 1928, to the late Giuseppe and Caterina Lico in San Costantino, Calabro, Italy, a place she forever treasured in her heart.

Anna immigrated to the United States on November 13, 1954, and resided in Raritan where she was a communicant of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.   A devout Catholic, Anna attended religious functions at St. Ann's and spent many hours in prayer. Anna was also a dedicated follower of the life and teachings of Saint Padre Pio.

She enjoyed cooking and sewing, but nothing brought her more joy than having her children and grandchildren stop over for a visit or sharing a Sunday spaghetti dinner at the kitchen table.

Anna was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony, of 58 years, her eldest son Joseph, and her brother Pasquale.

She is survived by three generations of family members who miss her dearly daughter, Carmela (Wayne) Kopf and their children David and Jenna (Fabio) Arcila; daughter Catherine (Calvin III) Sutton and their children Marissa (Bobby) Cibrowski and Calvin IV;  son, Dominick (JoAnn) Carra and their daughters, Lydia and Erica;  grandsons, Joseph Carra and Christopher (Carrie) Carra; and great-grandchildren Luca, Renzo, Declan, Alexa, Elia, Ella and Vincent, who all brought such joy to her life.
