Obituary of Thresiamma Francis

Holmdel, NJ

Thresiamma Francis, 66, of Holmdel, NJ, died on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born March 13, 1956, in Muthalakodam, Kerala, India to her parents Augusthy John and Aleykutty Kattamkottil.

Thresiamma was a devout Syro Malabar Catholic and enjoyed gardening, playing badminton, going for walks, cooking, traveling and loved playing “28” card game. She was an active member of the church prayer groups. Thresiamma can be described as God fearing, courageous, determined, honest, straightforward, loving and a very hardworking mother who raised her boys as a single working mother with utmost pride and joy.  One thing Thresiamma enjoyed the most was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  They were her joy.  She always put family first and was very instrumental in keeping her family from all over the world updated and connected.  A believer in social mobility through education, she was always willing to financially help anyone in her family achieve their educational goals. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband CP Francis, parents Aleykutty and Augusthy John and two brothers.

Surviving are her two dear sons Shince (Leena) and Shijo (Preema), four cherished grandchildren Jayden, Maya, Joel and Justin along with several loving brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 5:00PM, at St. Thomas Church, 508 Elizabeth Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873, followed by a holy mass at 7:30PM.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, with a mass celebrated at 9:00AM.   Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, 899 Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854.  To send an on-line condolence please visit www.bongiovifuneralhome.com.
