Karl James Baldwin, 65, of Bridgewater, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville.  Born October 3, 1957, in Munich, Germany to his parents Inge and William Luke Baldwin.

Karl was a civilian Engineer for the Picatinny Arsenal in Picatinny NJ.

Karl also was a security guard for a private firm that provided him opportunity to meet a lot of Star Trek celebrities and Stephen King.  He was also a Free Mason.  Karl was a collector of N-Scale Trains and models.  One thing Karl enjoyed the most was spending time with his family and pets (grand kitty “Luna” and dogs Trixi, Dutchess, and Samantha).

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Inge and William Luke Baldwin and a baby brother who died at birth “William”.

Surviving is his loving wife of 22 years, Patricia A Strandberg-Baldwin, a dear son, Michael (Morena) Strandberg of Bridgewater, a cherished grandson Michael J. and two sisters Sylvia Hollman (Paul) of Connecticut, Heidi Carpenter (Mark) of NY.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 7-9pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869.  Cremation is private.  To send an on-line condolence please visit www.bongiovifuneralhome.com.
