Obituary of Joseph Karott

Dix Hills, New York,

Joseph Karott, 62, died January 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born  in Kottayam, India, on May 20, 1960, to his late parents Annamma Joseph and VJ Joesph.

He is survived by his devoted wife Sonya, and loving sons Sean and Kevin, and 6 sisters.

Joseph was an auditor for the Department of Taxation and Finance, New York State for 28 years.  He was a member of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church in Somerset, NJ.  Joseph was a comedian, a real showman at many places in NY.  His favorite past times were singing, playing tennis and watching basketball.  A loyal friend, a dedicated family man a wonderful human being whose vibrant personality was compared to none.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1,from 5-7:30 PM at St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church, 508 Elizabeth Avenue, Somerset followed by a 7:30 PM Mass.

Funeral Services, Thursday, February 2, with visitation from 9 – 10 AM followed by a 10 AM funeral Mass.

Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 East Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
