Obituary of Theresa Gavin

Bridgewater, NJ

Theresa Gavin, age 86, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 31, 1936, to her late parents Marcella and Walter Michno in Nanticoke, Pa.

Theresa was a bus driver who loved to sew, knit, and crochet.  She was an energetic, outgoing person who enjoyed attending street fairs, festivals and spending time with family.  She truly loved to dance and taught Polka dancing.  Family and friends were her biggest joy. 

Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband Joseph Gavin in 1982 and granddaughter Theresa Josette Dunn in 2010.

She is survived by her son Gary Gavin, twin daughters Donna (Robert) Dunn and Debra Gavin, two sisters Mary Stefaniak (Leonard) and Rita Barna (Robert), grandchildren Robert Dunn, Nicole Dunn, Joseph (Samantha) Dunn, Kaitlyn Dunn, and Matthew Dunn.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 5pm-7pm at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan NJ (908)725-1887.    A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 9am at St. Ann’s Church, Raritan, NJ.  Burial is at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township, Pa.
