Obituary of Claire DeCicco

Flemington, NJ

Claire DeCicco, age 62, of Flemington, NJ, was born on August 13,1960 and passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday December 20, 2022 with loving family by her side.

Claire was born and raised in the Raritan, NJ area where she lived throughout her life. She spent every summer on the beach in Long Beach Island, NJ with her family and friends. She loved to collect sea glass and would have friends and family always on the lookout for these precious treasures. She was very artistic and always had an art project going. She loved the beauty of nature and loved spending time in the garden tending to her flowers. Claire was known as a kind and compassionate person who also loved animals, especially her cats and her dog Jake.

Claire earned her Associate's Degree at Raritan Valley Community College in Raritan, NJ. She began her career at Ethicon at the age of 19 and worked her way up to the Corporate Division in later years. She forged lifelong friendships during her 43 years with the company and will be sorely missed.

Claire is survived by her son Austin James DeCicco; parents Colonel James M. and Shirley DeCicco; sisters: Lisa DeCicco (Kasha) of Astoria, OR, Camille Silvertooth (Walter) of Tullahoma, TN, Karen DeCicco (Tom) of Midlothian, VA, Kimberly Mundy (Gary) of New Milford, PA; brothers: James (Kim) of Redondo Beach, CA, and Robert (Aislyn) of Del Mar, CA as well as several very special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908)725-1887.  To honor her wishes, Claire will be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned by her family for spring 2023.
