Obituary of Fedele Riga

BRICK-  Fedele "Johnny" Riga, 55, died August 3, 2022 at his home.  He was born in Somerville, NJ to the late Teresa (nee Cugliari) and Fortunato Riga on August 19, 1966.  

Johnny lived most of his life in Raritan before moving to Brick, NJ.  He worked construction and in his later years worked at his families Pizzeria.  John was a long time member of the Raritan Bow and Gun Club, United Valley Gun Club and Hunting Club.  He was a kind, caring and loving person with a great personality and a keen sense of humor.  Johnny loved hunting, fishing, boating, Jet skiing and crabbing.  He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin.  

Surviving is his loving wife of 34 years Susan Ann (nee McLellan), son Fortunato "Nato" Riga and his wife Nicole, daughter Teresa Romano and her husband Carlo, a brother Anthony Riga and wife Cheryl, a sister Anna Tantillo and husband Enrico, a grandchild Giancarlo Joseph Romano, also survived by his mother in law and father in law, Mary Ann and Harry McLellan, brother in laws Harry McLellan and wife Lisa, Thomas McLellan, Anthony McLellan and wife Marlene, sister in laws Lena Petrone and husband Larry and MaryAnn Lopes and  husband Jay and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Route 202 So., Branchburg, NJ.  Funeral services will begin with a viewing from 9:00am to 10:00am at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2022 followed by a Funeral Mass 11:00am at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ.  Entombment at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.  

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bongiovi Funeral Home of Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887 utilizing the Branchburg Funeral Home facility for visitations on Sunday and Monday.
