Obituary of Vincent Mattei Jr

Vincent Mattei Jr, 86, died July 22, 2022.  Vincent was born on August 15, 1935 in Raritan Borough NJ to his late parents Emilia Policelli and Vincenzo Mattei Sr.  

Vincent was an IT Manager for American Cyanamid for many years.   He was a communicant of St Ann Catholic Church Raritan NJ and a member of the Elks BPOE #1068.  Vincent loved gardening and boating.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and Pop Pop.  Vincent was a kind, caring, generous and loving person, always smiling and always a gentleman!!

He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Marianne Bozzomo Mattei, 3 children Vincent III (Sharon) Mattei, Lawrence Mattei, and Lori (David) Quinn, 7 grandchildren Danielle Mattei, Robert Mattei (Shiloh), Melissa (Brandon) Shamy, Mary (Joseph) McKeon, David Quinn, Patrick Quinn (Fiancee’ Elyse), Stephanie Mattei and 5 great grandchildren Isaih, twins Taylor and Madison, Micah and Ford, and a brother Arcangelo Mattei.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many wonderful friends.

Viewing will be held on Monday July 25, 2022, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt 202 South, Branchburg NJ 908-526-7638.   Funeral will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2022, from 9:00am to 10:00am at the funeral home followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at St Ann Church 45 Anderson Street Raritan NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations in Vincent’s memory can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis TN 38101-9908.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bongiovi Funeral Home of Raritan NJ 908-725-1887 utilizing the Branchburg Funeral Home facility for viewings on Monday and Tuesday.
