Jean Danyluk (nee Garboski), age 99 years, of Branchburg, NJ, passed peacefully in her home on July 4, 2022.  Jean was born in Union, NJ on April 11, 1923, daughter of the late Pete and Anna Garboski.  Always a NJ resident, she lived on farms in Pennington and Ringoes before her parents and three brothers moved to Branchburg in 1948. In 1953, Jean married her life-long and soon-to-be business partner, Steve “Tex” Danyluk.  Together, in 1954, they started a business selling beer, wine and spirits titled “Tex’s Liquors”, which continues to be a successful establishment today. 

Soon after in 1955, they welcomed their first child, Stephen, followed by Robert and Anne.  In addition to being a mother and business owner, Jean provided outstanding and long-standing community service.  She was on Branchburg’s Board of Education for 19 years, a Republican Committeewoman for 30 years plus and was involved with various municipal government committees: Board of Adjustments, Industrial Committee, Industrial Development Committee, and Economic Business Development Committee.

In her free time, she loved to travel, spend time with her family and enjoy their vacation home in Florida.

Jean is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Steve (January 2012).  Surviving are her children; Stephen Danyluk (Annette), Robert Danyluk and Anne Hopf (Gary); Two grandchildren, Bryanna Stires (Scott) and Stephen Danyluk, Jr.; and her great-granddaughter and namesake, Avery Jean Stires.
