Obituary of Elizabeth Dattoli
Raritan NJ – Elizabeth “Beth” Dattoli, 84, died January 18, 2022 at St Clare’s Dover Hospital. She was born on May 17, 1937 to her dear parents Mae Bieber and Charles Eckman.
Beth was raised from 6th grade through High School in Westminster Maryland by her maternal grandparents, George and Edith Bieber along with her brother Dave Eckman. Beth graduated Sibley Nursing School in Washington DC with a BS degree in Nursing. She was a registered nurse in the operating room at Muhlenberg Hospital Plainfield NJ for 11 years. She also worked with a Cardio-Pulmonary doctor for 25 years in Plainfield NJ. Beth was married to the love of her life Frank Dattoli for more than 58 years. She was generous to a fault and loved to make people happy. Beth was known for being kind, caring, loving, bubbly and friendly. She was a “social butterfly”. She was fond of her large circle of friends. For ten years she was instrumental in educating many nurses and maintained a lifelong relationship with her nursing school classmates. Beth was honored to help at the Somerset ARC for over 20 years. She loved to sing especially singing solo’s at the Westminster Methodist Church in Maryland and her favorite song to sing was the Lord’s Prayer. She was elected to the Maryland State Chorus. Beth loved to cook and bake and Christmas dinners were her favorite. She also loved the theatre and the arts and enjoyed playing Mahjong.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving son Todd Dattoli (Denise), a dear brother Dave Eckman (Mary Ellen) and a dear sister Sherrie McGuinness (Karl Heine) and 4 cherished grandchildren James, Dakota, Angelo and Kaitlyn.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Frank who died on August 7, 2021 and her daughter Gena Dattoli.
A viewing will take place on Sunday January 30, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Ave Raritan NJ tele 908-725-1887.
Elizabeth will be buried alongside her husband at a later date at Brigadier General William C Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown NJ.
