Obituary of Joan Mary Bartash

Joan Mary (Calimano) Bartash, age 74, died peacefully on Sunday December 19, 2021, at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater NJ.  She was born on November 26, 1947, to her loving parents Marian (Oskroba) and Joseph Calimano in Union NJ.

Joan grew up in Union NJ and attended Rutgers University earning a BA degree.  She later resided in Somerset NJ before settling in Bedminster NJ.    She worked for many years at AT&T in the fraud investigation department.  In her free time, she enjoyed watching Turner Classic movies and listening to opera music.   She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed church at the St Brigid Roman Catholic Church in Peapack Gladstone NJ where she was a member of the Sisters of Mary’s Club. 

Joan had a heart of gold.  She was kind, caring and generous.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents Marian and Joseph Calimano.

She is survived by her loving daughter Lynn Bartash of Bedminster NJ, three cherished grandchildren Phillip, Jason and Vera and sister Carol Tozzi and brother-in-law Sal Tozzi.   

A visitation will take place on Tuesday December 28, 2021, between 11:00am and 12:00pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue Raritan NJ 08869, tele 908-725-1887.  Burial will take place following the visitation at Somerset Hills Memorial Park 95 Mt Airy Road Basking Ridge NJ.
