FLEMINGTON- Marianna D’Urzo 96, entered eternal life on December 3, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. 

Born in Calabria, Italy on Aug 24, 1925 to Vittoria and Nicholas Riga.  She immigrated to America in 1955 and became a lifelong resident of Somerville and recently of Flemington. 

Marianna was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raritan.

Marianna was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, sew and read.  She looked forward to family gatherings and holidays. 

She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. and sister  She cared deeply for her family.  She did this not out of obligation, but because of the kind hearted person that she was.  

Marianna exhibited a certain sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes, and always had a loving smile for everyone.  Our world is a better place because of her.

Marianna was preceded by her beloved husband Basilio D’Urzo, daughter Marianna Rosa Plank and son Antonio D’Urzo.  She is survived by her loving children, daughters Vittoria and her husband Paul Cichello and Nicolina and her husband Daniel Palko and son Antonio and his wife Patricia D'Urzo.  She is also survied by her brother Bruno Riga and his wife Antonina and their three sons, Nicholas (Cheryl), Victor (Tina) and Luccio (Tina) ; son in law Paul Plank, eight grandchildren, Paula and her husband Christopher, Sheri Ann, Daniel and his wife Karen, Tammy and her husband Robert, Kristin and her husband Philip, Lisa and her husband Michael, Anthony,  and Brandon and his fiancé Trystin and thirteen great grandchildren. .

Visitation from 5pm to 8pm Thursday, December 9,2021  and from 8:30am to 10:45am Friday, December 10, 2021 at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.  Funeral Mass 11am Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ followed by an Entombment at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.  To send an on-line condolence visit http://www.Bongiovifuneralhome.com
