Obituary of Carol Rittman

Raritan Borough

Carol Rittman, 77, died October 11, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville NJ.   She was born in Newark New Jersey July 15, 1944 to her loving parents the late Agnes Penn and Martin Malarik.

Carol had many careers during her life as she worked in retail, Banking and Finance and as Child Care and Educator at St Ann Parish in Raritan NJ.  She loved to volunteer and participated in the monthly food drive at St Ann Church.  Carol was a graduate of Somerville High School and received training at Applied Logic Corporation in Princeton NJ for office work in banking.  She enjoyed functions at church and the VFW in Raritan and loved knitting, reading, and socializing in the community.   Carol was fun loving, good hearted, positive, upbeat, and very generous.  She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  Carol will be missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her companion William Peebles, sisters Frances Peebles and Martina Malarik, grandchildren Emma Rittman, Jenna Rittman and Kyra Lyman and nieces Anna Parks and Christine Peebles.

Carol was predeceased by her parents Agnes Penn and Martin Malarik and Stepfather Bernard Blaney, her loving son Brian and sister Lorraine Parks.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday November 6, 2021, between 11:00am and 1:00pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Ave Raritan NJ 08869 (908)725-1887.
