Obituary of Manuela Tinguan Domingo

Please share a memory of Manuela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Manuela “Lilai” Domingo, a retired Critical Care Nurse and years-long resident of Raritan, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2021, 12 days after her 70th birthday.

Manuela is survived by her husband of 40 years, Juan Ronelly Domingo; her children, Brian-Alexander (m. Michelle)  and Amanda; her granddaughter, Eloise “Ella”; her ‘furry’ daughter, Chloe; her brothers, Arturo, Bibiano, Salvador, Vicente; her sisters, Catalina Cielo, Elsie, Hilda, Lydia, and Lily; and countless nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother, Podenciana Aligada; her father, Jose Uy Tinguan; her brother, Atty. Domingo Uy and Manuel; her sister, Maria Tinguan; and her grandson, Wyatt.

Manuela was born in San Fernando, Masbate, Philippines on October 10 1951. She graduated from Cebu Velez College of Nursing with a BS degree in Nursing. On June 27, 1981, she married Ronelly. On March 18, 1982 and November 21, 1985, respectfully, she welcomed her beautiful children, Brian and Amanda.

After years of dedicated service as a registered ICU/CCU nurse, Manuela enjoyed traveling the world and doting on Chloe and Ella. In fact, she enjoyed her 70th birthday week in Hawaii, celebrating with her family. Manuela was always a challenging person to shop for, mostly because she derived joy from the happiness that she selflessly gave others. She will be deeply missed and remembered by everyone whose life she touched.
