Obituary of Juan L. Gonzalez Cirino
Manville- Juan L. Gonzalez Cirino, 77, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. He was born on December 9, 1943, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Zoila and Juan Gonzalez.
Juan worked for the Division of Youth and Family Services in Brooklyn, NY where he served in corrections and counseled the youth. Juan never made the inmates feel like they were criminals. He encouraged and made them feel confident that they can make a difference in this world and to look at life differently. Juan obtained an associates degree from Boriqua College in NY. Juan enjoyed all sports including paddleball, dominos, and hand ball. He was an avid 49er and Met fan. Juan was extremely devoted to his family and friends who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Juan accepted Christ as lord and savior and never looked back. He was a avid student of the lord and loved reading from the book of Proverb and Psalm.
Juan is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth Santiago-Gonzalez, his sons Juan Aldea (Sonia), Juan Carlos Gonzalez and Bryon Estrada, daughters Amanda Doman and Charlie Gonzalez, 18 cherished grandchildren, 11 adored great grandchildren, 2 brothers Raymond Vega (Lydia) and Miguel Angel Gonzalez (Zoraida) and a sister in-law Carmen Gonzalez. He is predeceased by his parents, a sister Hilda Gonzalez, a brother Alfred Gonzalez, 2 sons Antonio Santos and Samuel Gonzalez and 2 daughters Annette Aldea and Wanda Gonzalez.
Visitation from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Long Hill Chapel 525 Shunpike Road, Chatham, NJ 07928. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bongiovi Funeral Home, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887
