Obituary of Raymond W. Chadwick

Raymond W. Chadwick, 90, previously of Kearny, NJ passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.  He was born on March 27, 1931 in Newark, NJ to the late Gladys and Leo Chadwick.

Raymond was a Kearny High School graduate who played football, soccer and ran track.  He then served in the Air Force as an Electronics Technician in England.  Raymond returned to the United States to further pursue his career as an Electronics Technician working for IBM and Bell Labs.  He resided most of his life in Kearny before moving to Raritan, then Hillsborough 2 years ago.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hiking, weight lifting and boxing.  Raymond will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Raymond is survived by his wife Melba, son Raymond B. Chadwick (Zaydie), daughter Joy Lupo, granddaughters Melissa Lupo, Andreea Chadwick and Kailey Chadwick, a great granddaughter Kylee Lupo, a brother Norman and a sister Joan Third.  He is predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers Donald and James.

Memorial Mass will be 10am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Mary Mother of God R.C. Church, 157 S. Triangle Road Hillsborough, NJ followed by burial at St. Bernard Cemetery, 551 State Route 28, Bridgewater, NJ  08807.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
