Bridgewater, NJ – Joan Marie Grelle, 80, died January 4, 2016. She was born in Scranton, PA on March 31, 1935 to Marion McLaughlin and Hubert V. Gaffney, Sr. Joan resided most of her life in Bridgewater, NJ.
Joan was a Nurse at the VA Lyons Hospital in Lyons NJ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joan was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Joan is survived by her loving children, Brian Grelle of Bridgewater, Kevin (Nit) Grelle of Easton PA, and Deirdra (Larry) Holloway of Maryland; two dear brothers, Donald (Mary) Gaffney of Vermont and Hubert Gaffney Jr. of Virginia; a loving sister, Judith (John) Frederick of New Jersey; six wonderful grandchildren, Brianna, Ryan, Kali, Devlin, Jennifer, Matthew; and a great-grandchild, Kiara. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dieter B. Grelle; and her parents.
Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
