Obituary of Lorenzo DiGiacomantonio

RARITAN- Lorenzo Di Giacomantonio, 70, died on Sunday, May 30, 2021 of natural causes.  He was born on April 3, 1951 to his dear parents Letizia and the late Berardino Di Giacomantonio in Selvoni, Italy.

Lorenzo immigrated to the United States in August of 1962. He was a graduate of Montclair State with a degree in language education. He was employed at the Somerset County Park Commission in Bridgewater, NJ for 27 years, retiring in 2014.  Lorenzo enjoyed bowling, working on cars and riding motorcycles, gardening, especially growing his tomato plants, making wine, bee keeping and above all spending time with his family.  He was an avid sports fan, always watching soccer, baseball or football.  Lorenzo was a talented accordion player as a young man and truly loved listening to music, especially classic rock.  All who knew him will remember him as a very intelligent man, always having a wealth of knowledge to share, always telling a joke and always so very generous with his time with helping others.  Lorenzo will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Lorenzo is survived by his cherished daughter Sara and son-in-law Michael, his beloved mother Letizia, his loving siblings Antonio, Rosa, Maria, Adriana and Patrizia and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his wife Diane (1990) and his father Berardino (2015).

Visitation from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.  Funeral services Friday, June 4, 2021 beginning with a visitation from 9:30am to 10:30am at the funeral home followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ.  Private entombment at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
