Obituary of Mary G. Soriano

Raritan – Mary Soriano, 101 years, died April 19, 2021 at home surrounded by those she loved.

Born in Raritan to her parents Maria Pastore and Pietro Carlino, on March 30, 1920.

Mary was a homemaker who prided herself as a great cook and whose recipes were cherished by family and friends.  Her specialty was homemade pasta.  She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Arthur, a loving mother to her two sons Arthur (Michelle) Soriano of Whitehouse Station and Anthony (Mary Kate) Soriano of Raritan, a dear grandmother to her 5 grandchildren (Anthony, Bill, Michael, Matthew and Kristin) and 3 great grandchildren (Diego, Emilia and Quinn).  Mary was honored last year by the Raritan Senior Citizens celebrating her 100^th birthday.  Beside being a member of the Raritan seniors, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Raritan Fire Department, a 40 year volunteer for (FCHS) Family & Community Health Sciences for Rutgers Cooperative extension, Rosary-altar member & Communicant of St. Ann’s Church and had great devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She loved to sew and knit for family and friends.  Loyalty to her friends was a true attribute.

Mary was predeceased by her three brothers, Peter, Patrick, Tony and her four sisters Ida, Clementine, Ann and Josephine.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 -11 AM on April 23, 2021 at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.  A funeral mass will follow at St. Ann Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan NJ at 11:30 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater with her beloved husband Arthur.
