Obituary of MaryAnn Mangiaracina
RARITAN- MaryAnn Mangiaracina, 87, peacefully passed on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 surrounded by those she loved. She was born on December 21, 1933 in Somerville, NJ to the late Lena (Gattone) and Daniel Papera, Sr.
MaryAnn worked for over 30 years as a Culinary Garnisher at the Martinsville Inn where she turned platters of food into masterpieces for thousands of memorable events. She was as sweet as all the desserts she loved to eat. Her one-liners known as “Grandma -isms” by her grandchildren always showcased her wonderful sense of humor and kept everyone in stitches. Sunday dinners and family times were everything to her. Whether you were hungry or not, you were eating but no one minded because she was a fabulous cook. MaryAnn was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Ggma, Sister, Aunt, God Mother, TaDoll and caring friend to all.
MaryAnn is survived by her loving children Frank, Jr. (Daniel), Dilette Patente (Michael), Wayne Mangiaracina (Michelle) and Denise Possessky (Philip), cherished grandchildren Nicole Patente Andino (Alejandro), Erica Patente Landesberg (Eric), Justin Mangiaracina, Jordan Newman (Matt), Shelby Possessky, Wayne Jr., Jolie, Parker, Paige and Isabella Mangiaracina, great grandchildren Manny, Alexia, and Enzo Andino, Hazel Newman and Giara Landesberg, her loving sister Shirley Gabrish and her in-laws Karen Deluca, Adele Papera (Francis), Ethel Gelardi (Patrick), Rosemary Henry (Robert) and Stefano Gelardi (Pat). She is predeceased by her devout husband Frank Mangiaracina, Sr., and her siblings Francis Papera (Adele), Eleanor Schallenberger (Heinz), Vincent Papera (Carol) and Daniel Papera, Jr.
Memorial Mass will be 10am on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ. Entombment St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
