Obituary of Carlos A Hernandez
Carlos Hernandez passed away suddenly on March 21, 2021 in Somerville, New Jersey.
Born September 24, 1933 in San Salvador, El Salvador Carlos Hernandez grew up with very humble beginnings. He received his education as a technician specializing in television and radio repairs.
Always striving for the best, Carlos left El Salvador in 1980 to pursue a better life in the United States. His decision to move to the US would forever change the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was able to give them a foundation to build their lives on and to pursue their dreams.
Carlos was best known as “El Abuelo”, being a grandfather to all he met. Sharing his wisdom, giving “consejos”, and sharing his point of view to all who engage him in conversation. El Abuelo enjoyed spending his time reading, painting, photography, and most importantly spending time with his family.
Carlos is survived by his sister, Miriam Rivas; son, Carlos Hernandez, daughters, Aracely Carcamo, Marisol Carrizosa and her husband Antonio Carrizosa; 9 grandchildren, Geraldo Carcamo, Carlos Carcamo, Oscar Carcamo, Alexa Hernandez, Astrid Hernandez, Giancarlo Hernandez, Christopher Carrizosa, Mario Carrizosa, Emmanuel Carrizosa; and 2 great-grandchildren, Geraldo Carcamo and Katherine Carcamo.
Visitation from 4-9pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Ave., Raritan. Burial 11am Wednesday, April 1, 2021 at St Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington.
