Bridgewater, NJ – Charles Valenza, 88, died December 23, 2015. He was born in Newark NJ on January 25, 1927 to Lucy Blasco and Thomas Valenza.
Charles was a Tool and Dye Maker at General Electric Company in Springfield NJ, served in the Navy during World War II, and was the founding member of the Greenbrook Swim Club. He was an avid gardener; enjoyed cooking, making homemade wine, and fishing; and he loved spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren. Charles was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Perugino Valenza; his loving children, Charles Valenza, Mark Valenza (Barbara), Karen Hoffman; and three wonderful grandchildren, Marco, Laura, Nathaniel Valenza. He was predeceased by his parents; and son-in-law, Mark Hoffman.
Funeral Services, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Bernard's Church, Bridgewater, NJ followed by burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
