Dear ones, Al and I are so sorry for the loss of your mom and grandmother. In your time of sorrow may you also rejoice in sharing all the happy memories. To me, Sonia, she was my Aunt Helen. Because of life circumstances we lost touch in our old age. I am the oldest girl cousin and as a child Aunt Helen stayed at our house and cared for me many times. She also spoiled me rotten. She and Aunt Kitty would take me uptown in New Brunswick and buy me pretty things. So many fun times we had when I slept over at Baba’s. I was so impressed when she taught me
how to save my chewing gum for the next day by putting it on the bedpost at night. LOL! She was a hard worker and I remember how she made it fun for a kid to learn how to clean at my house. So many fun memories of family gatherings and summer days at Charlie’s Beach. I am reminded of
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” How thankful I am to God that Aunt Helen was in my life for a season and purpose in my formative years.
