Obituary of Mary Rizzo

RARITAN- Mary Rizzo, 95, a long time resident of Raritan Borough passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hillsborough, NJ. She was born on November 28, 1924 in Bound Brook, NJ to the late Peter and Catherine Imbriani. Mary was married to the love of her life the late Paul M. Rizzo and together they raised their beautiful family in Raritan Borough, NJ. She was employed all of her life as a Legal Secretary retiring at the age of 83 years old. She had such a passion for her career that it was a hobby for her. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the library and reading a book. She was extremely dedicated to her family. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary is survived by her sons Paul R. Rizzo and wife Maureen of Hillsborough, NJ and Peter Rizzo and wife Connie of Harrisburg, PA, granddaughters Christine DeMartin and her husband Tim, Samantha Rizzo and Kati Smith, grandsons Nicholas and Lance Smith, great grandchildren Oliver, Lily and Benjamin Smith, her sister Louise Salerno and many loved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Paul M. Rizzo (November 7, 1992), her sister Lillian Gardyne and brothers Carmen, Peter, Joseph and Michael Imbriani. Visitation Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887 followed by a Funeral Mass 12:00pm at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ.
