Obituary of Fred Standish

Bridgewater    Fred S. Standish, age 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 22, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and great friends.  He was born on July 28, 1962 in Somerville New Jersey to his dear parents Theola (Horton) and Fred Standish.  Fred spent a majority of his life living in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater Township.  He worked construction as a laborer for Local #3 for many years.  Fred was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.   He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing with friends.  Fred loved hanging out at different social clubs that he was a member of, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Loyal Order of the Moose and the American Legion.  Fred was a devoted family man and friend to many and was always there willing to help someone he loved.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  He will also be missed by his three cats, Boots, Jessy and Puggs and his dog Sammy who he adored. 

Fred is survived by his two sisters Kim Standish and Tracy Standish, nephews Steven and Dylan, great-nephew Easton, in-laws Debbie, John, Laura and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Fred was predeceased by his loving wife Gloria and his parents.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and love to Bill, Dave, Carol, Jill, Connie, and Tammy for all the love, friendship and support before and after Fred’s passing. The family would also like to extend gratitude to the Bongiovi Funeral Home for all their support. 

All are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday November 23, 2019 between 3:00pm and 7:00pm at the American Legion Post 327 located at 77 Old York Road Bridgewater NJ.
