Mary Margaret Fischer (nee Galvacky), 89, died on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Mary was born into the Hungarian community of Manville, N.J. to Stephen and Ida Galvacky. She lived in the Manville and Hillsborough area for many years marrying and raising a family. She worked for the RCA Corp. on Rt.202 for 26 years retiring as a lab technician. In 1986, Mary, then a widow, joined households with her recently divorced daughter and two grand-daughters where she shared parenting duties eventually moving to Severna Park, Maryland. During the 16 years in Maryland her daughter died of cancer and Mary was sole parent to the girls guiding them through their subsequent college and marriages. Mary moved back to a condo on Farm Road, Hillsborough where she resided providing help and comfort to aging and ailing relatives until her own health deteriorated and she moved to Florida near her son. Health complications brought Mary to an assisted living facility and then a hospice until her passing.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur (1974) and her daughter Maryann (2001). Surviving is her son, Arthur Jr. with his wife Linda; her 5 grandchildren Jennifer, Arthur III, Gregory, Jessica and Pamela and 10 great grandchildren Brandon, Adam, Amanda, Jack, Ava, Jordan, Joseph, Charlie, Narissa, and Lucas. Coming from a family of 7 children, Mary is also survived by her sister Margaret Domanich, her brother Alex and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, November 14th at 9:00am at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887, followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 16 E. Somerset St., Raritan, NJ. Interment will be conducted in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater. Viewing will be Friday, November 13th, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
