Obituary of Edwin R. Franssen

Edwin R. Franssen, 90, died on September 28, 2018.  Born in Baltimore, Ed was raised in Roselle.  He resided in New Providence and Millington before moving to Bridgewater 23 years ago.

Mr. Franssen served for two years in the U.S. Army.  He received his BSME degree in 1952 from the Newark College of Engineering and was a life-time member of ASME.  After retiring from his engineering career, Mr. Franssen obtained his New Jersey Real Estate license.  Ed leaves us with his incredible strength, irrepressible and unpredictable sense of humor, cherished memories, guidance for the future and an incomprehensible sense of loss.

Edwin is survived by his beloved wife Carol-Ann (Berry), his loving children David Edwin (Gladys), Andrew L. Burks (Janet), cherished grandchildren Christina, Elizabeth, Olivia, Stephanie and Williams, 6 great-grandchildren, Parker, and many life long friends, golf buddies and poker pals.

Viewing Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.  Burial private.
