Shawn was my closest friend for many, many years. We met in our sophomore year in Mr. Saginario's English class. I gave a presentation on UFO's in that class, and Shawn told me of his fervent interest on this subject, and we wound up talking about it many, many times into the late evening. This would be the beginning of a friendship that would last for the rest of our lives. Shawn probably knew more about me than any person on earth. We talked on the phone sporadically over the last twenty years, and we always would laugh about the fact that we could be out of touch for years, and then catch up where we left off as if we had spoken only the day before. Shawn knew me during some of the happiest, and saddest moments of my life. If I was going through a crisis of some sort, Shawn would drop whatever he was doing and make himself available.
Shawn was the most intelligent person I have ever known. Whatever his interests, he would devour all reading material, and become expert in that subject. We often discussed the meaning of life and the nature of reality and existence long into the night and early morning. In the last few years we had lost touch as we so often did. Today (08-19-2020) I learned of Shawn's passing. I can hardly process the fact that my oldest friend will not be there to talk about our life lessons and experiences over these last few years. I am filled with sorrow that I was not there for him during his final illness.

Sue and Maggie and Shawn's family ~ My heart hugs yours in deepest sympathy. I honestly didn't know Shawn well in high school, but I knew of him. However, as a member of the Class of 1976, we collectively share in the depth of this loss. We know we shall all be reunited in a different place, as one-by-one, we each must depart this place called earth over time. What's important is how Shawn lived his "dash" ( as in 1958 - 2018 ). That's how all of us, who remain here, need to honor his memory. How will we .... live our "dash"?.

SUE, MAGGIE & APOLLO.
Praying for strength, ability to smile and move forth in peace, always keeping Shawn close in your hearts and souls
Memories:
I met Shawn, Sue and baby Maggie when I was in High School, waitressing at The Bound Brook Diner. They came in regularly to eat as a family. We always had so much fun and laughed a lot!!! A FRIENDSHIP was born. After High School, my family moved to Manville and landed not to far from The Barones. Shawn supported my "internship" at Beauty School by letting me practice my newly found hair cutting skills on him... needless to say, I scalped him quite a few times!!! Having a love for music myself, he and Sue always invited me to come see his Band play live music, as well as introduced me to his best friend Chris D. Those were good times and great adventures I will remember always <3
Sue... keep all YOUR wonderful, happy and joyful memories close to your heart!!! Oxo
LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU.
p.s.( Im pretty certain he and Chris are together right now as we speak ;)))))
