Bridgewater, NJ – Sophia Ousouljoglou, 78, died August 25, 2017. She was born in Astoria, Queens, NY on October 16, 1938 to her late parents Aretie Pilalides and Christos Metaxas.
Sophia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing the piano, taking care of her family, and doing ceramics. Sophia was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Sophia is survived by her beloved husband, Antonios Ousouljoglou of 61 years, four loving children, Telly (Mary Ann) Ousouljoglou, Kimon (Lisa) Ousouljoglou, Tony (Susan) Ousouljoglou, and Toula Ousouljoglou, eight wonderful grandchildren, Telly (Christina), Ana, Emily, Abby, Zoe, R.J., Anthony, Maggie, and two adorable great-grandchildren, Chloe and Cora . She was predeceased by her parents, and two brothers.
Viewing, Tuesday, August 29, 2017, 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (908-725-1887).
Funeral Services, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, viewing 8:30 to 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
Burial, New Cemetery, Somerville, NJ.
