Obituary of Joseph James Constandi

FLEMINGTON- Joseph James Constandi Jr., 49, fell into angels arms on Saturday, June 10, 2017 the very same day he was born in 1968. Joe was born in Somerville, NJ to Anna (Provenzano) Columbus and Joseph James Constandi.

Joe resided in Bridgewater before moving to Flemington 15 years ago. He was a self -employed construction contractor. Joe had a passion for the beach, boating, entertaining friends and family and enjoyed race car driving. All who knew him will remember him as a generous man with an infectious laugh and above all as a devoted and loving father, son, uncle, cousin, and a true friend. There are no words to describe how sadly he will be missed by his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his cherished children Christina Ann and Joseph Robert; beloved parents Anna P. Columbus and her companion of many years Tom Costello and Joseph Constandi and his companion of many years Sallie Mitchell and her daughter Amber Harte (Tommy); loving uncles and aunts Somerset County Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano and (LouAnn) and JoAnn Marfino (Frank) and Michael Barbato and Michael Constandi and Virginia Zazzara and her son Frank; cousins Debra Evans (Ken), John Provenzano (Sherry) Kim Fratesi (Mike), Gina Provenzano (Alisa Jones), Michelle Waddington (Tim), Frank Provenzano, Jr., and Frank Constandi, Patty Constandi, and their children, who truly lit up his life, Kellie, Michael, Chase, Anthony, Cory and Skyler. Joe is also survived by his former wife Wendy Wielgomas and his dog, Jake.

A viewing will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 S, Branchburg, NJ. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 beginning with a viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by an 11:30 am funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 105 Summer Rd., Three Bridges, NJ. Committal services will conclude where Joe will be laid to rest at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.

In lieu of tears and sorrow, take a walk on the beach with a loved one and take in a beautiful sunset. We know Joe would feel honored by that.
