Raritan, NJ – Romolas L. LoCollo, 89, died August 27, 2015. Born in North Plainfield NJ on July 24, 1926 to Isabella Louise DelCorso and Luigi LoCollo. Romolas was a Custodian for the Bound Brook Board of Education in Bound Brook and retired in 1993. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Romolas loved gardening, attending flea markets, and drawing. He was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Romolas is survived by his loving children, Vincent LoCollo of Raritan and Romulus LoCollo of Phillipsburg; two dear sisters, Ilda Gutholm of Brick NJ and Rose Ray of Bedford TX; two wonderful grandchildren, Jeffrey Comtess of Parsippany and Christopher Comtess of Edison; several dear nieces and nephews; and one daughter-in-law, Debra Banco of Somerset NJ. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gladys Dodd LoCollo (May 9, 2006); two sons, Louis and Anthony LoCollo; one daughter, Louise Isabella LoCollo; two brothers, Idealo and Michael LoCollo; and two sisters, Gladys Andrews and Jelsie Taggert.
