Raritan, NJ – Margaret A. O'Donnell, 88, died September 9, 2016 surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Bronx, NY (where she spent most of her life) on June 8, 1928 to her late parents Jane Frances Meehan and William Callaghan.
Margaret was a Telephone Representative for N.Y. Telephone/Verizon in New York. She was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Margaret is survived by her loving children, Simon (Paula) O'Donnell of New York and Jane (Thomas) DeSantis of Raritan, seven dear grandchildren, Thomas, Katherine, William, Margaret, Tara, Erin, and Peter, two adorable great-grandchildren, Sophia and Abigail, a loving sister-in-law, Lise Callaghan, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her a brother, William Callaghan, a sister, Therese Callaghan, and a brother-in-law, Arthur Kelly.
Viewing, Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (908-725-1887).
Funeral Services, Wednesday, September 14, 2016, viewing 8:30 to 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869.
Burial, Gate of Heaven, Hawthorne, NY.
