Roberta Ida Polak (née Fuzesi), of Bridgewater New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026. She was 82 years old.

Born on December 5, 1943, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Roberta was the beloved daughter of the late Ida (née Toth) and Theodore “Teddy” Fuzesi.

Roberta shared nearly 48 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Ronald Polak, until his passing in 2012. Together, they built a loving home and raised two children who were the center of her world.

A dedicated librarian by profession, Roberta had a lifelong love of reading and learning. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures; spending cherished time with Ariela and Charlotte. capturing memories through photography, and relaxing by the ocean especially at Avon-by-the-Sea. She was also a passionate fan of the New York Mets and she rarely missed watching a game.

Roberta will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, and deep love for her family. She leaves behind her son, Dean Polak (Terri); her daughter Candace Romero; her brother Robert Fuzesi (Anita) and her cherished granddaughter Ariela Romero.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents.

A Viewing will take place on Monday March 30, 2026, between 9:00am and 12:00pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Ave Raritan NJ 908-725-1887.   Religious services will occur at 11:30am.   Burial will be private.
