Luisa Verdicchio, 90, of Branchburg, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. She was born in Cervino, Campania, Italy, on October 23, 1935, to her parents Maria and Carmen Pascarella.

Luisa was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Nonna. Alongside her beloved husband, Pasquale “Pat” Verdicchio, she owned and operated Central Pizzeria in Somerville for nearly 50 years. Working side by side with their children, Luisa was truly the backbone of the family business.

She will be remembered for her strength, focus, determination, and extraordinary generosity—especially toward her children and grandchildren. A dear friend to many, Luisa loved sharing stories of her childhood in Italy and her life in America.

Luisa is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Pasquale Verdicchio; her loving sons, Joseph (Jennifer) of Holland Township, NJ and Mario of Neshanic Station, NJ; and her adored grandchildren, Camille, Mason, Roman, Maxim, and Sophia. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Vince (Antonia) Rivetti.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Pasquale; and two sisters, Antonia and Maria.

Luisa will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, 2 PM - 4 PM and 7 PM - 9PM.  Saturday, November 8, 2025, 9 AM - 10:15 AM at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ.

A  Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM, at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan,NJ.. 

Entombment will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater.
