Arcesio Jose Cruz Meza, 66, passed away on October 6, 2025, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. He was born on June 16, 1959, in Since Sucre, Colombia, to his parents Octavio Cruz and Dolores Meza.

Arcesio was a high school graduate and a hardworking, self-employed construction worker. He was a kind and caring man who loved socializing with family and friends. Known for his generous spirit and great sense of humor, he enjoyed making people laugh and especially loved celebrating the holidays.

He is survived by his two sons, Jason and Heiman Cruz; his brothers, Juan (Lalys) Cruz of Plainfield and Daniel Cruz of Colombia; and his sister, Magalys Cruz of Colombia. He was predeceased by his brother, Luis Cruz, and his parents.

He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

A viewing and prayer service will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 7 PM to 9 PM at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the funeral home to assist the family.

Arcesio José Cruz Meza, de 66 años, falleció el 6 de octubre de 2025 en el Centro Médico JFK en Edison, Nueva Jersey. Nació el 27 de marzo de 1959 en Since Sucre, Colombia, hijo de Octavio Cruz y Dolores Meza.

Arcesio se graduó de la secundaria y era un trabajador de la construcción independiente y muy trabajador. Era un hombre amable y cariñoso que disfrutaba socializando con familiares y amigos. Conocido por su generosidad y gran sentido del humor, disfrutaba haciendo reír a la gente y, sobre todo, celebrando las fiestas.

Le sobreviven sus dos hijos, Jason y Heiman Cruz; sus hermanos, Juan (Lalys) Cruz, de Plainfield, y Daniel Cruz, de Colombia; y su hermana, Magalys Cruz, de Colombia. Le precedieron en la muerte su hermano, Luis Cruz, y sus padres. Todos quienes lo amaron y conocieron lo extrañarán. El velorio y servicio de oración se llevará a cabo el jueves 9 de octubre de 2025, de 19:00 a 21:00 h, en la Funeraria Bongiovi, ubicada en 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ.

En lugar de flores, se pueden hacer donaciones en la funeraria para ayudar a la familia.
